2013 Fiat Viaggio officially announced

Following yesterday’s leak, Fiat has released the first details about the 2013 Fiat Viaggio.

Set to debut at Beijing Motor Show, the 2013 Fiat Viaggio is a compact sedan that is based on the Dodge Dart. As such, it rides on the CUSW (Compact US Wide) platform and has a wheelbase that spans 2,708mm.
Despite its American roots, the model was designed in Torino and features a chrome grille, sweptback headlights and LED-infused taillights.
Power will be provided by a 1.4-liter T-Jet engine with outputs of 120 PS (88 kW / 118 hp) and 150 PS (110 kW / 148 hp). It can be connected to a five-speed manual or a dual-clutch transmission.

The 2013 Fiat Viaggio will be built at the company’s assembly plant in Changsha and should arrive at Chinese dealerships in the third quarter of 2012.

The 2013 Fiat Viaggio will go on sale during the third quarter of this year. The company is also developing a 5 door hatchback version of the same which could be a replacement for the Fiat Bravo
