SPIED : 2013 Ferrari F70 Hybrid Test Mule [VIDEO]

The disguised model – codenamed Ferrari F70 Hybrid  and set to be Maranello’s most expensive hypercar – sits extremely low to the ground and features an elongated rear to house it’s 7.3-litre V12 engine. Mated to the engine is a dual-clutch gearbox and electric motor.

These are the first spy images of the Ferrari Enzo replacement, scooped testing outside the marque’s factory in Maranello.

Initial reports suggest the HY-KERS system is tipped to produce in the region of 900bhp, which may enable the F70 to strip the Bugatti Veyron from its title as world’s fastest car.

Some more recent reports suggest the F70 will feature a biturbo engine, most likely a V12, combined with the HY-KERS system and a four-wheel drive for a total output of 1000 HP.

Under the carbonfibre skin of the F70 front sits another electric motor to run ancillaries.

Behind the new hypercar’s wheels (which feature an F1-style single bolt) sit large, drilled brake discs. A quad exhaust system exits the hypercar’s rear.

The innovative HY-KERS system will make the new Enzo the cleanest and fastest Ferrari in the range.

The new Ferrari Enzo F70 is expected to go on sale at the beginning of 2013.

Zero to 200 km/h (124 mph) time is expected to be 6.5 seconds.

"Bugatti" – 1936 Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupe ( 50 HD pictures + Video )

One of the most bizarre, elusive and expensive of cars is the “Bugatti” – 1936 Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupe. With its low stance, powerful engine, lightweight construction, 123 mph (200 kph) top speed and influential teardrop body, many believe this is the ultimate Bugatti and the first super car ever made.

Ettore’s son, Jean Bugatti, who played a large role in the development of the “Bugatti” – 1936 Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupe , personally styled the Atlantic. Jean’s lines draw an interesting mix of aircraft style together with the avant-garde tear-drop shape. Design highlights include a heavily raked windscreen, riveted fins and kidney-shaped doors with matching side windows.

Momentum behind the style was structured by a design concept of incorporating Electron, an alloy of magnesium and aluminum from IG Farben of Germany, in the design. Though it is strong, and up to one third the weight of aluminum, it is also highly flammable thus welding was not possible. This meant that each panel had to be riveted into place which posed a particular problem for traditional design. Therefore, Jean incorporated the rivet’s aesthetic into the wings of the car and created a telling combination of function and form.

As the first car to bear fins, the silver Electron Aerolithe Prototype debuted as a possible sport model of the “Bugatti” – 1936 Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupe at the 1935 Paris Motor Show. As much of a sensation as the car must have been, it only drew three orders. By the time production commenced in 1936, standard aluminum was chosen over the flammable electron and the specially lowered “Bugatti” – 1936 Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupe chassis, with its smaller, V-shaped radiator was used.

The engineering on these Atlantics was similar to the other “Bugatti” – 1936 Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupe which formed a basis for Bugatti competition and grand touring. Chassis arrangements included Rudge Witworth wire wheels, complex De Rams shocks absorbers, fifteen inch drum brakes and a strong, uncluttered chassis. “Bugatti” – 1936 Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupe chassis was the combination of the supercharged “Bugatti” – 1936 Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupe with the low and short “Bugatti” – 1936 Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupe chassis used for racing.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 The Grand Sport Vitesse Launch – The GENEVA MOTOR SHOW 2012

A really effective technique to remember the meaning of a word you haven’t come across before is to associate it with something from your own world.

For car lovers, when you hear the French word for speed, Vitesse, your mental image can be the 1200 horsepower BUGATTI Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse. Unveiled at last week’s Geneva Auto Show, BUGATTI calls this “the most powerful roadster of all time,” its 8-liter, 16 cylinder engine boasts four intercooled turbochargers that produce 1100 lb-ft of torque pushing its top speed up to nearly 268 mph.

Its interior is equally impressive and will help you forget the expected 1.75 – 1.91 million Euro price tag you fork over for this open-top super car. Check out additional photos of the Veyron after the jump.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 – IN MAKING(45MINS VIDEO EXCLUSIVE)

Not just a super car that carries on the name of racing driver Pierre Veyron, who, while racing for the original Bugatti car manufacturer, won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1939, Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is the second fastest car in the world and the most powerful, it can easily pass as a super hero`s car like Batman. It has the fastest acceleration speed, reaching 60 mph in 2.5 seconds.

Endowed with a 8.0L W16-Cylinder, four turbochargers, and a dual-clutch DSG computer-controlled manual transmission, the Veyron can reach a top speed of 253 mph. Counting a sum of 10 radiators, for the engine cooling system, for transmission oil, a heat exchanger for the air to liquid intercoolers, for engine oil etc., the car has a power to weight ratio of 529 bhp/tonne.
If we talk about performance we are dazzled by this supercars power to reach 200 and 300 km/h (124 and 186 mph) in 7.3 and respectively 16.7 seconds, wining for herself the name of the quickest-accelerating production car in history. If we count

the fact that the top speed of Bugatti Veyron is 253.2 miles per hour (407.5 km/h), a speed limited electronically to prevent tire damage (it can run even faster) we can understand why this spectacular car must consume 40.4 L/100 km (4.82 mpg) when it`s running at top speed and in city driving 24.1 L/100 km.

Driven by a superstar like Tom Cruise, this supercar couldn`t name itself cheap, raising the Bugatti Veyron to a price tag of $1,700,000, a price that measures up to it`s quality. Many new designs has been released since 2006, the color might have changed, but the performance and power remain the same.
