1912 VERDEL 750cc OHV 5 cylinder Radial engine Vintage Motorcycle , Very Rare Motorcycle .Verdel manufactured airplane engines in the UK, but never motorcycles. Packard built motorcycles in the UK and from what I understand, this was a union between the two to build such a bike. No original Verdels are known to exist. There are only three or four “fake” Verdels, however, they’re built using the same frame geometry and engines as the originals.( VIDEO BELOW )

EMC 1947 Twin 350 cc Dr Joseph Ehrlich was a wealthy Austrian and keen motorcycle enthusiast who became the acknowledged authority on two-stroke single racing bikes. Ehrlich moved to the UK and set up EMC after the Second World War with a factory at Isleworth. Production focussed on a 350 cc split single motorcycle based on German engineering using two cylinders and pistons with a common combustion chamber. One cylinder housed the exhaust ports and the other the transfer ports. This EMC was built in 1947, but as they were a, expensive and b, of complicated design, the british motor cycle fraternity would not buy them, approx 200 bikes were sold in the UK, and about 26 still exist.
They documented the entire process in a book, and soon had people wanting the billet aluminum bound book. Kirkham Motorsports have made the book available on an “extremely limited basis” with each copy going for $4500. It takes 35 pounds of aluminum plate and 30 hours of CNC mill time for each of the billet aluminum bound books, and every page is printed on premium 12″ x 12″ cover stock, so that’s pretty cool. The spoiler of course is the $4500 asking price, and though a standard hardback version may come along soon, they are also offering free download of the book. You can get it by clicking here. Also, scroll down to checkout images of the roadster Kirkham built.
