Renault India was established in 2005 and entered in to collaboration with Mahindra & Mahindra to manufacture the popular Logan sedan. In April, 2010 Renault decided to go solo in the Indian market and in May, 2011 introduced its first product, the premium Executive sedan Fluence. Renault cars are manufactured in the Alliance plant located on the outskirts of Chennai in Oragadam with a capacity of 200,000 units per annum.
Renault Fluence is available in both petrol and diesel engine variants. The diesel variant is coupled to with Manual Type transmission with 6 forward, 1Reverse gear, whereas the petrol variant of this beautiful sedan is added with Advanced CVT II transmission including 6 speed automatic gear and Manual Mode, if required. Also, it is very efficient in terms of suspension, brakes and the steering. The sedan comes fitted with advanced suspension system in which front suspension is a MacPherson type with coil spring, stabilizer bar and double acting shock absorber and rear one comes fitted with a trailing arm type with coil spring and double acting shock absorber.
